The investment rationale memo is the single most frequently produced compliance document for both PE analysts and independent asset managers. Under FinSA, every investment decision made on behalf of a client must be documented with a rationale that demonstrates suitability (Art. 12–13) and adequate information disclosure (Art. 8–9).

This skill produces a complete, audit-ready Word document in one invocation. It combines internal data (portfolio context, mandate constraints, client risk profile) with external research (market data, comparable analysis, adverse signals).

Skill Architecture

This happens in three agent steps:

  1. Context assembly — ingests client mandate, risk profile, portfolio position, and the proposed investment
  2. Research execution — retrieves market context from relevant data sources
